Dr. Mike Patterson
Dr. Mike Patterson was raised in Laurens. He attended Clemson University and then transferred to the United States Air Force Academy where he graduated with a B.S. in Biology. After flying for the Air Force for 7 years, he pursued his dream of becoming a veterinarian. He graduated from Louisiana State University in 1998 with his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine. He moved back to Laurens in 2000 and opened Trinity Ridge Animal Health in 2002. “I just love life!”
Dr. Jenna Crouch
Dr. Jenna Crouch is a South Carolina native, but her move to the Laurens area came through central Texas, where she practiced for nine years at a mixed (large and small animal) hospital. She grew up in coastal Colleton County, on a quail hunting plantation that her father still manages to this day. Dr. Crouch graduated from Clemson University and completed graduate and veterinary programs at Mississippi State University. Joining Dr. Crouch in the Upstate is her husband, Russ Abrams, who is an agricultural education teacher in the Greenville County school district, and their two young children. The family also has two dogs, two horses, a goat, and a bird. During their free time, the family enjoys outdoor activities, college football and spending valued time with friends and family.
Mark Moore
Practice Manager
Mark has been with Trinity Ridge Animal Health since 2005. He received his B.S. in Biology from Lander University in 2012. He enjoys both small and large animal, food animal, and hospital operation. He was raised and lives in Laurens with his wife Kaila and three children. Their family also includes two dog, a cat, a few rabbits, and a flock of chickens. In his spare time, he enjoys the outdoor activities, fishing, and spending time with family and friends.
Kayla Nichols
Licensed Veterinary Technician
Kayla has been with Trinity Ridge Animal Health since 2012. She is a Licensed Veterinary Technician. Kayla grew up on a dairy farm in Saluda County, SC. She received her B.S. in Biology from Newberry College in 2010 and then completed the Veterinary Technology Program at Piedmont Technical College in 2012.
Lyndsey Brock
Licensed Veterinary Technician
Meet Lyndsey – Lyndsey is a Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) who has been a member of the TRAH team since 2018. She earned an Associates of Applied Science degree in Veterinary Technology from Tri-County Technical College, and received her state license in 2019.
Lyndsey knew from an early age that her love of animals and people was leading her to a career in veterinary medicine. While striving to provide the best services possible for patients under her care, Lyndsey also focuses on helping educate pet owners about their pet’s health.
Lyndsey’s hobbies include playing golf and spending time with her family. She is married to Dylan and they have one son, Connor. The family also has a dog, Oz.
Bethany Patrick
Licensed Veterinary Technician
Meet Bethany – Bethany is a Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) who joined the TRAH team in 2022. She earned an Associates of Applied Science degree in Veterinary Technology from Piedmont Technical College, and received her state license in 2020. Before joining TRAH, Bethany worked for five years in various capacities of veterinary medicine.
A love of animals and a desire to help provide quality healthcare for them led Bethany to her career in the field of veterinary medicine. She especially enjoys working with large animals and assisting the veterinarians on farm calls. No matter the size of the animal, Bethany is focused on providing loving care and compassion.
Bethany’s hobbies include horseback riding and spending time with her family.
Julia Motes
Veterinary Assistant
Meet Julia – Julia has been a member of the TRAH team since August 2021. She attends Piedmont Technical College where she is studying to become a Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT). Julia enjoys gaining knowledge that helps her provide services for the patients of TRAH.
Julia’s personal pets include a Great Dane, a Chiweenie, and a pot-bellied pig.
Spending time with family and reading are two of the things Julia enjoys in her free time.
Emily Carleton
Receptionist
Meet Emily – Emily joined the TRAH team in 2022 as a receptionist. She provides valuable information and assistance to clients each day. With a passion for animals and a desire to attain as much knowledge as possible to provide for their well-being, Emily is enrolled in a course of study to become a Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT).
The mother of one daughter, Emily also considers her numerous pets as immediate family. She has two lizards, one cat, one dog, and a multitude of freshwater fish.
Emily enjoys reading, gardening, sightseeing, cooking, baking, video games, antiques, and homesteading.
Sarah Hester
Receptionist
Sarah has been a member of the TRAH team since May 2024. Since 2005 Sarah has done many roles throughout Veterinary medicine. From a young age she has loved animals and volunteered her time to care for them. Sarah previously worked as an Emergency Medical Technician with the State of South Carolina specializing in Psychiatric Care.
Sarah and her long term partner Stephen recently moved to Laurens and they love it here. They have two cats and a dog named Duke that they spoil. Some of her hobbies include reading, fishing, and camping with Duke.
Haley McCormick
Receptionist
Haley joined the TRAH team in May of 2024. She holds a Bachelor Degree in English Literature from Winthrop University and is an aspiring Author. This is her first role in Veterinary Medicine and she is excited for the challenge. Before joining the team here at Trinity Ridge she primarily worked in hospitality and sales.
A love for animals and a passion for helping people with their loved ones is what led to her change in career to animal care. She has three cats named Archie, Dusty, and Pepper who she spoils like her own children.
While reading and writing are her first loves, Haley does enjoy getting out of the house to explore. She enjoys kayaking, nature trails, visiting historical places and trying out new restaurants.
Stephen Hazel
Kennel Technician / Veterinary Assistant
Stephen has been a member of the TRAH team since February 2024. He is a senior set to graduate high school in May of 2025. He is currently training to be a Veterinary Assistant as he seeks to pursue a degree in Animal Science and Agriculture. From a young age Stephen knew he wanted to work with animals due to his love for them and even in kindergarten he chose Veterinarian for career day.
He has three dogs, five horses, and loves spending time with all his animals. He travels the country participating in Rodeo barrel racing and pole bending in his spare time. He was the 2022 3D Reserve World Champion for the National Barrel Horse Association.
Stephen loves riding horses, participating in Rodeo, and spending time with his family or friends.
Torie Wood
Kennel Technician
Torie joined the TRAH team in September of 2024. She is a graduate of Laurens High School and received a certificate of achievement in the office of career and technical education for demonstrating a mastery of content in plant and animal programs of study. Prior to moving to SC she was an Agriculture System Associate at her highschool in Winter Haven, Florida. She has a passion for helping both the animals in her care and easing the Owner’s minds about their pets’ care.
Torie is in a family of four that has three dogs and three cats. She enjoys playing with and caring for her family pets. Torie is excited to be adding chickens to the family soon as well. In her spare time she can be found in the garden or shooting her bow and arrow.
Skiff
Greeter
Meet Skiff – Skiff is an integral part of the TRAH team in her role as greeter. She was born in Tennessee and was raised in Laurens, South Carolina. She is a graduate of the Patterson Training Academy where she earned the prestigious degree of Expert Treat Sampler.
Skiff can be found enjoying oyster roasts, taking part in a good game of fetch, or cuddling with her family when she has the time.
